Over the weekend, we have been made aware of a positive confirmed case in Year 5. I have spoken to Public Health England and on this occasion, and to ensure that spread of the virus is kept to a minimum, I have taken the decision to isolate the whole year group bubble and as a result they MUST stay at home to isolate.
This means that if your child is in Year 5, or identified as someone who has been in close contact, they will need to isolate for 10 days from the last point of contact. Pupils must therefore isolate until Saturday 17th July. The letters below are copies of those sent out to parents of close contacts and a whole school letter and contain more detailed information.
We are aware that there are some pupils who were absent from school during the period of contact with the affected pupil. Staff from school will be in touch in the morning once registers have been checked from the week beginning 5th July. We can then arrange safe provision for them in school if parents wish to do so.
Staff will be in touch tomorrow with details of how your child will be able to learn at home this week. Please see our Remote Learning page for more information on learning at home during this isolation period. Please also contact school should you require the loan of a school laptop or a free school meal.
Thank you for your co-operation and support.
